The Comparison Game
Women are the WORST sometimes when it comes to "The Comparison Game"!
Social media photo shopped images don't help our natural female insecurities either. Have you ever seen someone and thought...WOW, how awesome would it be to have their life?
But, then you started to compare yourself, your flaws, your "not good enough characteristics" to theirs and before you knew it, you have completely decided that a life similar to that person's would NEVER be in your future. Yup! I'm guilty! 🙋🏼♀️
-----------------------------------
What is it that makes us forget that everyone has struggles, everyone has a past with some negative choices, everyone has pain, and no one person's life is perfect??
What if everyone had to look on the outside how they actually felt on the inside?? Ohhhh....there would be a lot of profile picture updates! lol
-----------------------------------
My point is this...simply to the struggling, full of self doubt, over whelmed, unhappy Mother out there, everyone is flawed and no one person truly has a perfect life!
No matter how big the smile...there is always hurt hiding behind it. So, I want to encourage you the next time you feel like your mind wants to start "The Comparison Game" realize YOU are capable of extraordinary thing in your life too! You are worthy and able! It just takes forward motion to get it.
Imagine for a moment that our daughters would grow up in a world where everyone excepted everyone for their differences and chose to lift them up instead of bring them down. A society that based our lives on inspiring others to rise to their full potential instead of bringing them down for all they hadn't already become.
That is the world I hope for my daughter's future! ☝️
We are truly lifted when we help others rise!!
Do you struggle in "The Comparison Game" too??
