Oh, the struggle is real when it comes to finding a good workout routine and a schedule you can actually stick to as a Busy Mom!

After my 3rd child, Kolt, was born I felt like I had fallen into a rut! I had always been an active person my whole life before having kids. I enjoy working out and taking care of my body but finding the time to go to the gym was really difficult. Plus, it was even harder to find a gym that included child care and didn’t cost me and arm and leg.

The struggle I found the most difficult about about working out with 3 kids was the preparation to leave my house to work out. Whether I was going for a run or to the gym getting everyone ready and out the door just turned into an extra chore! If I was leaving the house that usually would mean my kids would be with me. I would have to slow down for the kids to ride their bikes so I could run or worry about getting everyone ready and snacks packed for a gym daycare. I would spend an hour or more just getting everyone ready to leave that by the time I left I felt stressed and anxious.

My day, as a Mom of 3, was already full of a long “to-do” list and devoting 2 hours just to getting everyone ready, out the door, and the actual working out was very inconvenient! It added more stress to my life instead of relieving stress like a workout should.

Eventually a sweet friend introduced me to the best way to work out at home and these are the 10 reasons I love Beachbody On Demand so much.

Having the option to work out at home gave me my mental sanity back. It allowed me to fully enjoy my work out without having to worry about what my kids were doing in the gym child care room or worry about them even being awake at all since I was able to work out in the mornings before anyone else had woke up.

This option allowed me to develop a great morning routine habit. I was able to wake up before anyone else was up in my house to workout and have time to myself. Having this time to myself each morning first thing gave my me more patience, less anxiety, and allowed me to just be a happier Mom over al. Plus, since I worked out in the morning I had the rest of the day to devote to my kids and that crazy “to-do” list instead of spending 2 hours mid morning trying to rush to a gym.

When I had my two boys back to back, 13 months apart, I had these limiting beliefs that my body wasn’t ever going to be the same again. Pregnancy just does crazy things to our bodies and having two pregnancies so close together I just knew my stomach was a goner.

Well, that was before I committed to one of my favorite Beachbody On Demand programs LIIFT4. After completing this program I was shocked at my transformation! I was actually in better shape after 3 kids then I ever was as a super active athlete in high school. LIIFT4 wasn’t the first program I had done through BOD, but it’s one of my favorites for sure!

Beachbody on Demand All Access is literally the best value I have found. For $0.27 per day (that’s only $1.92 per week) you have access to over 600 unique workouts, nutrition guides, meal plans, and even a clean eating cooking show. Plus, each quarter of the year Beachbody Certified Trainers launch new programs so getting bored with the current content just wont happen!

 In comparison, a Zumba class averages $5-10 per class. For $10 I have five whole weeks of BOD.

When compared to a gym membership BOD is a crazy great deal!! The previous gym I was going to cost me $50 a month and I had to pay an extra $25 a month for a childcare fee. That’s $900 per year for one person!! BOD annual membership is only $99 a month. You would save almost $800 a year choosing BOD instead of a gym membership.

As a female I would naturally gravitate to the spin bike, treadmill, or other cardio type work outs at a gym. I would always feel uncomfortable lifting weights or doing certain machines because I wasn’t sure how to use them properly or what moves where the most effective for the results I was wanting.

All of BOD’s programs are designed by certified fitness trainers who teach you how to do each move properly to get the best results. There are options to modify each move if needed and each program is a set amount of weeks and each week is schedule for weekly progression to keep you motivated.

I love having access to the full BOD program library because life can change a lot in a years time. You might have an injury, get pregnant, or want to tone up different parts of your body at different times. Having the full program library allows me to change programs at anytime that I need to.

Plus, since there are so many different programs to choose from it literally fits anyones needs in any season of life they are in and at any age!

Proper nutrition is just as important as fitness when it comes to a true transformation. It can be hard to know which foods are the best to eat depending on the fitness program you doing, but BOD actually provides a meal plan for each of their fitness programs.

This takes the guess-work out of knowing what to eat and when. Another great nutrition option that BOD offers is their clean eating cooking show that teaches you how to cook nutritious recipes. Healthy cooking was something I used to struggle with before the super beneficial tips I received while watching the FIXate cooking show.

The BOD workout library can be streamed from anywhere using a smart phone, tablet, computer, or smart tv. This is really convenient for the times when you are traveling and need to stream your work out from a hotel or friends house.

I personally like to stream my workouts from my laptop because the screen is bigger and easier to see. Also, being able to stream BOD from anywhere allows you to stay on track and not miss a week of your program because of vacation or a work conference. It really is the program designed around OUR schedules!

The trainers on these programs are really encouraging, supportive, and motivating! They really make working out fun. You get to see the trainers teasing the cast members and vice versa.

Working out should be fun and enjoyable. That’s exactly what happens when you commit to completing a BOD workout program.

Having a set program schedule and plan allows me to make long term fitness goals. I already know how long it is going to take to complete the fitness program, normally around the 8 week mark, and I can already be mentally preparing myself to stay committed to the program fully.

Completing a program is such a mental booster too! It gives me enough time to really see positive physical change in my body and gives me mental confidence because I didn’t give up on myself. When setting a goal to start and finish a program completing it is a great feeling of self satisfaction which motivates me to continue my fitness journey long term.
