••Oh, my dear.... life will be tough, but so are Y O U! 💜

I read a very scary statistic recently that stated...

“....Disordered eating is different than an eating disorder. A person who worries about their looks and as a result their eating patterns are disrupted, but does not have an eating disorder, might fall into this category.
51% of girls 9 and 10 years old feel better about themselves when they are dieting....”

WOW! My daughter just turned 9 and my heart would break if she ever thought she was anything but beautiful just as she is without “dieting”.

••The sad reality is that sooo many young girls now days have these negative feelings about theirselves. The pressure from society to be a specific size or look a specific way starts at such a young age and is getting worse each year. The weird "awkward" stage around 10-13 isn't an option anymore. Girls now days would DIE if they has to experience my awkward stage! It's still a running joke with me and my sister....it was that bad!

••For years Women as a whole have chased the next big “yo-yo” diet, restricted their bodies of so many food groups, or starved just to be a specific size. This breaks my heart for the ones suffering and for the generation of girls coming up into this negative body image world! 

••Food was created to be enjoyed and fuel our bodies for health. Not to cause stress, anxiety, complexes, and bullying among peers. Instead of looking at our differences as ways we are all unique, the difference becomes a cures and cause emotional eating.

••Negative relationships with food don’t change until our mindset changes and it’s time for THAT change! 💜

Each one of us has struggled with a food complex at some point. Some of us were strong enough to over come it and others weren’t. That’s OKAY friend...! 

••We can only teach our daughters a positive relationship and mindset with food if we have a positive one ourselves. So, let’s rally together as Moms against that horrible statistic and other ones similar to it.
